Dean George Cain was born on July 31, 1966 in U.S Air Force Base in Mount Clemens, Michigan as Dean George Tanaka. He was the son of Army serviceman Roger Tanaka and Sharon Thomas. His mother was an actress and after getting divorced she got married to Film director Christopher Cain. Dean and his elder brother were then been adopted by Christopher Cain and later the family moved to Malibu, California. Later on a new member got added in this family Krisinda Cain an actress, daughter of Christopher and Sharon.

During childhood Dean liked to play baseball and after completing his high school graduation in 1984 he signed on Buffalo Bills as free agent. Perhaps, his football career got ended up due to knee injury he had during training. Dean got engaged to singer Mindy McCready in 1997, but they had a broke up. His son was born on June 11, 2000 and was been given the name of his grandfather Christopher. Dean was also offered for the role of Batman in 1995, but his popularity as Superman made producer to change the decision.

In 1993, Dean took biggest role in TV series Lois & Clark: “The New Adventure of Superman” dating as a Superman.  In 1998, he produced television series “Ripley’s believe it or not”! Moreover, he also started on doing films as an actor, producer and director. Dean doesn’t seem to be found of tattoos but he does have a single tattoo on his inner left ankle. The tattoo is Japanese kanji characters which represent his family name “Dean Tanaka”.
