Nona Marvisa Gaye is the daughter of soul music legend Marvin Gaye. She is Marvin’s second child and was born on 4th September, 1974 in Washington D.C. She herself is a model, actress and singer. She was brought out on stage by her father during a concert when she was a child. Nona started her career as a vocalist in the 1990s and her first album was ‘Love For The Future’. As an actress, her most successful character was Zee from the sci-fi films ‘The Matrix Reloaded’ and ‘The Matrix Revolution’.
In 2001, Nona appeared with other artists for the re-record and release of her father’s single ‘What’s Going On’ for a noble cause like AIDS research!
Born to a legendary father, Nona was always in the spotlight, even before she made her own place. She took interest in fashion modeling and likes to add to her spunk with tattoos. Nona has a tribal tattoo design on the outer side of her left shoulder. It is a thing of beauty, and like most beautiful things, its meaning remains a mystery. On the same place on her right shoulder, Nona has a horse-shoe tattoo with intricate designs filling up the otherwise simple tattoo.
