Elena Jane ‘Ellie’ Goulding was born and brought up in a small village named Lyonshall, near Kington, Herefordshire. The second of four children, Ellie was born on the 30th of December, 1986 and attended Lady Hawkins’ High School in Kington.
The English singer and songwriter was the second artist who won BBC’s ‘Sound Of…’ poll in 2010. The same year, Gouldings won the Critics Choice award at the Brit Awards. Ellie performed her cover of Elton John’s ‘Your Song’ at the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton at Buckingham Palace! The title track of her album, ‘Lights’, ranked number two on Billboard Hot 100!
The fabulous singer also has a gorgeous face and several interesting tattoos cover up her body! Her first tattoo was a red triangle tattoo on the inside of her right wrist. According to the artist, she has a habit of drawing triangles everywhere! She believes they certainly mean something for her, but is yet to figure out what that is!
Ellie got another red colored tattoo in 2013, which is an incantation tattoo on her left wrist. It is a Tibetan Mantra and reads ‘Om mani padme hum’. The words mean ‘Jewel in the Lotus’!
