She was born in 23rd March 1987 in a small town of Himachal Pradesh, India. Initially she wanted to become a doctor as per parent’s wish. But, later on she changed her mind and moved to Delhi to pursue modelling and was determined to make her career in film industry. At the initial stage of her career, she worked as a model. Then she got trained as an actress and made debut in Gangster. She received her first National Award for her performance in Fashion. She also received National Award and Filmfare Award for Best Actress in Queen.
