Natalia Valeeva, a naturalized archer from Italy was born on the 15th of November, 1969 in Tirnauca, Transnistria. Her career has been full of ups and downs but today, she is not only recognized as one of the best archers Italy has to offer but at the same time, one of the best in the world. She is a former world number one archer and an Olympian on 5 occasions. She has represented Italy and Moldova at the Olympics held on the years 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012. She is happily married with another Italian Native Roberto Cocchi.
She was so passionate about the sport that she even got an archer tattoo made on her lower right foot. Just like most other tattoos, this tattoo too has a lot of inner meaning. An archer tattoo depicts one of the constellations of the zodiac. It signifies precision (something the entire sport of archery is based on) and aim, not only in the sport but also in everything an individual does in his or her life. The tattoo carries forward a message. You can’t fire an arrow before pulling it back can you? Similarly, when times are bad, always remember that the best part of life is yet to come.
