Simon Jonathon Gallup is a British bassist and musician foe the post punk band ‘The Cure’ who was born in the year 1960, June 1st. He teamed up with the Cure from the year 1979 while was replaced with Michael Dempsey for playing the bass guitar. He was also skilled to play the keyboard occasionally after the departure of Matthieu Hartley in the year 1980. Most of the keyboard lines of Hartley were performed by Gallup. Some of the fabulous songs played by him include ‘A Forest’, ‘At Night’, ‘Pornography’ and ‘A Strange Day’. For the song, ‘Cold’ he was multi tasking with bass pedals and bass guitar as well. In the year 1996 Gallup played acoustic 12 string guitar for the song ‘This is a Lie’ during the Swing Tour and played Fender Bass VI for ‘There is No If’ during the On the Dream Tour in the year 2000. Gallup has also sung along with lead vocals.
Simon has exciting unique and colorful ink in his body. Gallup has a thunder bolt tattoo depicted on his left forearm. Closer to this bolt there are four stars drawn with dark black outline as arm tattoo. There is a tiny star tattoo drawn on the outer area of his right forearm. Gallup also has an armband tattoo wrapped around Gallup’s upper right arm. There is a cartoon tattoo of a couple, embossed beautifully with ink.
