He was born on 26th August 1969 in Long Beach, California, United States. He started performing from as early as 1987. He is married to her long time girlfriend, Nina Kent. Young performs both rock and alternative rock. He the main drummer of the band No Doubt and also writes songs for them. Some of his associated acts are No Doubts, Maroon 5, Bow Wow Wow, Kelis, Dilana, The Vandals and Unwritten Law. Apart from music he is passionate about playing golf as well. He is a highly desired participant in the celebrity golf tournaments Alice Cooper Foundation Tournament, Michael Jordan Invitational, etc.
