This amazingly talented lady was born on May 22, 1970, in Streatham, South London. Her modelling career began at the age of 15. One of the world’s famous, renowned supermodels, Campbell has pursued acting and music careers. She was the first ever, black supermodel, to have appeared in the British and French magazine, as well as appeared on Time cover.
She appeared in music videos for Bob Marley “Is this Love” in 1978, as well as Culture Club’s “I’ll tumble 4 ya” before making a contract with Synchro modelling agency at the age of 15. She belongs to African-Jamaican descent and also Chinese Jamaica descendant through her paternal grandfather. She appeared twice on American Vogue in 1993. This immensely strong lady was involved with a lot of charitable causes. Campbell supported Nelson Mandela’s Children Fund programme, in which she organised a benefits fashion show Versace in 1998.
Campbell has confirmed that she had a left-arm tattoo. However, she was rumoured to have a couple of temporary tattoo designs of a flower bracelet on her left bicep and left ankle. She has a small permanent tattoo, inscribed with the letters “FB” located on her left arm. There were many speculations about her fake designs but the arm one is real.
