Tara Dakides born on 20th of August in the year 1975 is a well-known snowboarder. She started snowboarding at the age of 13. In the 1999 winter games, Dakides won the silver medal in slopes style as well as a gold medal in big air. Also in the 2001 Sims World Championship Dakides came first in the slope style as well as fifth in the big air competition. A year later she won her third gold slope style gold and also was presented with the EXPN snowboarder of the year award.
